Why Ridgefield?

Just north of Vancouver, lies the popular town of Ridgefield, Washington. With tons of new construction, popular schools and a quaint downtown, more and more people have been making it their home. Along the western edge of the Columbia River, The Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge offers walking trails, birding, kayak excursions, and the Cathlapotle Plankhouse, where you can learn about the local Indigenous communities and this land that we share.

Another beautiful outdoor space is Whipple Creek Regional Park where you can lose yourself in nature! Popular activities include running, walking or horseback riding along the miles of wooded trails. It also hosts local high school cross country meets during the fall.

Schools and sports are important to many people and families. Ridgefield’s Outdoor Recreation Complex features turf soccer fields, a baseball and softball complex. You’ll often see your local club teams practicing and competing on them. The complex is home to our very own Ridgefield Raptors - a summer collegiate, West Coast League Team. Raptors games are family-friendly and an enjoyable way to spend summer nights.

Clark County Fairground and Amphitheater have all kinds of fun and activities. If you want to see some fantastic shows, you can either sit on the lawn or under cover for the latest touring bands or old time favorites. And of course, The Clark County Fair is always a popular event.
